I bought 4 different varieties in a first purchase round: Carosello Round Massafrese, Ayra, Badem Acur and Poona Kheera. All seeds germinated well. But the weather has been weird this year, almost plant unfriendly to many of my tomato varieties, to a bunch of peppers, to kabocha pumpkins. Some are having a very hard time thriving, despite germinating just fine. Actually, many! So here’s where the Poona Kheera is a star: germinated, thrived, produced! And the melons taste like refreshing cucumbers. Only one that I picked a bit young, still green, had a mouth-puckering just-this-side-of-bitter quality. Since then, I let my Poona Kheeras get riper, a touch of tan/brown on them. They are delicious! Good harvest, while the other 3 varieties are just starting to come through. So glad I tried the Poona Kheera!
